Personyze

Salesforce integration

Your website, personalized with your Salesforce data.

Contact, Lead, Account and open Opportunity fields reach the visit — even for anonymous visitors from your target accounts, matched to their Salesforce Account by company domain. And what the website learns about each lead goes back into Salesforce automatically.

Why it matters

Your CRM knows who matters. Your website treats them all the same.

Salesforce holds what your sales team knows: which accounts you are going after, which deals are open and at what stage, who owns each lead, what industry each company is in. Until now none of it reached your website, which showed a prospect in a late-stage deal the same homepage as a student doing research.

Connected to Personyze, those fields become visitor attributes you can target and print in your content — for visitors Personyze knows by email, and for anonymous visitors from your target accounts, matched by their company’s domain. What the website learns goes back the other way: form leads, visit activity and audiences land in Salesforce, so sales sees it without leaving the CRM.

What you can do

What Salesforce + Personyze unlocks

01

Personalize with CRM fields

Lead status, rating, owner, the Account’s industry and type, the open deal’s stage, any custom field. Target campaigns on them and print them in content: “Welcome back, Dana from Northwind Bank”.

02

Reach target accounts before any form

When company identification (ZoomInfo, 6sense, Leadfeeder, Albacross or Snitcher) names a visitor’s company, Personyze finds its Salesforce Account by website domain. The Account’s fields and open Opportunity shape the first page view.

03

Salesforce Campaigns as audiences

Choose a Salesforce Campaign and its members become a Personyze audience, kept in step every hour. Use it in any campaign.

04

Form leads into Salesforce

A Personyze form or meeting booking updates the matching Contact or Lead, or creates a Lead, and can add the person to a Campaign. Duplicates are updated instead of being created again.

05

Website activity on the record

After each visit, the audiences a person is in, their top interests, number of visits, last visit and company data are written to their Contact or Lead — only when something changed. Each visit can be logged as a completed Task.

06

Audiences into Campaigns

Add the people in a Personyze audience list to a Salesforce Campaign, and hand sales the list your website built.

How it works

How it works

Create an External Client AppYour Salesforce administrator creates a small app entry in your own Salesforce org. It takes about ten minutes, and the Personyze drawer walks them through every step.
ConnectIn Personyze, open Settings → Integrations → Salesforce, in the CRM category, and enter your Salesforce address, the Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret. Personyze checks them with Salesforce before saving.
Choose the fieldsRecommended setup maps a starting set: record type, job title, company, industry, account type, company size and opportunity stage. Add any other field of your org, custom fields included.
Send data backAdd Salesforce to your forms’ destinations, turn on the profile sync and its visit Tasks, and choose the Campaigns to use as audiences.

FAQ

Common questions

How does Personyze match a visitor to Salesforce?
By email address, when Personyze knows it from a form, a login or an email link: it reads the visitor’s Contact, or their Lead if there is no Contact. For visitors it does not know by email, it uses the company domain from your company-identification integration and finds the Account whose website matches it.
Does it work for visitors who have not filled in a form?
Yes, for visitors whose company is identified. Personyze matches the company to your Salesforce Account, so the Account’s fields and its latest open Opportunity reach the visitor from their first page view — account-based personalization built on your own CRM.
Will it use up our Salesforce API allowance?
Very little of it. Personyze asks Salesforce once per visit per visitor — on the first page view, and again only if their email becomes known during the visit — and remembers answers for ten minutes. It pauses its lookups when your org has used 90% of its daily allowance, and the profile sync writes in batches of up to 200 records.
What does Personyze write into Salesforce?
Only what you switch on: form leads (updating the Contact or Lead, or creating a Lead, optionally added to a Campaign), the visitor profile sync with its visit Tasks, and audience lists added to Campaigns. The profile sync updates existing records only, unless you turn on creating Leads, and empty form fields never erase what Salesforce already has.
How quickly does data move?
The CRM lookup happens once per visit, at its start. The profile sync writes after the visit ends, and only when a mapped value changed. Salesforce Campaign audiences refresh every hour.
Which Salesforce editions and products does it work with?
Salesforce CRM — Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities and Campaigns — on an edition with API access: Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance or Developer. Professional Edition needs Salesforce’s API add-on. Sandboxes work too. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Account Engagement are separate products this integration does not connect to.
