Targeting decides who sees your campaign — and where. Every step opens with a short explainer. “Read more” opens the full guide.
Describe your audience in plain words, and the AI assistant writes the rules for you. With no rules, a campaign reaches every visitor. Choose “Every visitor” to keep it that way on purpose or add rules to narrow it down.
The Audience story sums up, in plain words, who will see it. The forecast checks your rules against the last 90 minutes of traffic. You can also test the rules on live visitors — or on your own session.
Let’s target new visitors on mobile. Find a rule by category, or search for it. Choose “New visitors”, then save the rule.
Add a second rule the same way: Device and System. Pick Mobile, then save. Rules combine with AND: a visitor must match both.
Click it to switch to OR. The Audience story now reads: New visitors AND Mobile. The forecast re-checks your recent traffic every time the rules change.
Audience persistence sets how long a visitor stays in the audience once matched. By default, rules are checked on every page. Overlaps shows other campaigns that reach the same visitors.
That’s your audience. Save or publish when you’re ready.
