How does Personyze match a visitor to Salesforce?
By email address, when Personyze knows it from a form, a login or an email link: it reads the visitor’s Contact, or their Lead if there is no Contact. For visitors it does not know by email, it uses the company domain from your company-identification integration and finds the Account whose website matches it.
Does it work for visitors who have not filled in a form?
Yes, for visitors whose company is identified. Personyze matches the company to your Salesforce Account, so the Account’s fields and its latest open Opportunity reach the visitor from their first page view — account-based personalization built on your own CRM.
Will it use up our Salesforce API allowance?
Very little of it. Personyze asks Salesforce once per visit per visitor — on the first page view, and again only if their email becomes known during the visit — and remembers answers for ten minutes. It pauses its lookups when your org has used 90% of its daily allowance, and the profile sync writes in batches of up to 200 records.
What does Personyze write into Salesforce?
Only what you switch on: form leads (updating the Contact or Lead, or creating a Lead, optionally added to a Campaign), the visitor profile sync with its visit Tasks, and audience lists added to Campaigns. The profile sync updates existing records only, unless you turn on creating Leads, and empty form fields never erase what Salesforce already has.
How quickly does data move?
The CRM lookup happens once per visit, at its start. The profile sync writes after the visit ends, and only when a mapped value changed. Salesforce Campaign audiences refresh every hour.
Which Salesforce editions and products does it work with?
Salesforce CRM — Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities and Campaigns — on an edition with API access: Enterprise, Unlimited, Performance or Developer. Professional Edition needs Salesforce’s API add-on. Sandboxes work too. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Account Engagement are separate products this integration does not connect to.
