Your Own Data Finds Who Converts. The Ad Platform Finds More of Them.

Most tools do one half of this. A personalization tool finds a segment and stops at the website. An ad platform builds a lookalike from its own view of your site, which is the pixel and not much else. Personyze now does both halves: Audience Discovery finds the audiences that actually convert on your site, from behaviour the ad platform cannot see, and Push to ad platforms sends them to Meta, TikTok and Google so the platform can find more people like them — without uploading a customer list.

From a card to a lookalike in four steps, and the fifth that saves money this week.
What happens, end to end
- Discovery finds a rule. A weekly pass — or one you start yourself — mines your visitor data for groups that convert far above average: viewed six or more products and no interest in pen kits, returned within a week and read pricing. The member list rebuilds daily.
- Push to ad platforms. One button on the card creates a real-time campaign that targets the audience, with the event sender already added and the destinations already ticked. Everyone who matches is sent to Meta, TikTok or Google Analytics 4 as an event, within about a minute of matching. Nothing is sent until you publish.
- The platform builds a custom audience. In Meta or TikTok, a website custom audience keyed on that event; in Google, a GA4 audience that reaches Google Ads over the link you already have.
- And a lookalike from that. On Meta and TikTok. Meta needs at least 100 people from one country in the source audience. On Google there is no lookalike any more — Similar Segments were removed in August 2023 — so the audience feeds Smart Bidding and optimised targeting instead.
The under-performers are often the faster win
Discovery also finds the groups that convert far below average — a lead source that never buys, a device and traffic-source combination that bounces. Those go over the same way, as a suppression audience: an audience every platform can exclude from a campaign. That saves spend this week, rather than needing a new campaign to work.
Why events, and not a list upload
Uploading hashed emails to a custom audience is the obvious design, and it was rejected on purpose. An upload needs a Meta app through App Review, an approved Google Ads API developer token and a reviewed TikTok app — weeks of approvals. The Conversions API and the Events API take a token from Events Manager, with no review. An upload can also only carry people you can name: on a real account, about a third of an audience had an email address. Events carry the browser and click identifiers the platforms recognise people by, which reach the rest — one switch, Ad platform matching, on the Meta, TikTok and Google Analytics cards, on every page that carries the Personyze tag.
There is a fourth benefit nobody designed for: nothing ever has to be removed. Personyze never owns the list, so the platform re-derives the audience from the event stream on its own retention window. Excluding people who have since converted is a second audience in the ad platform, not a clean-up job.
Twelve destinations on one action
The same event sender that reaches the ad platforms now reaches twelve destinations: Meta (Conversions API), TikTok (Events API), Amplitude, Mixpanel, ActiveCampaign, Brevo and Mailchimp are new, beside Segment, Tealium, Google Analytics 4, the GTM data layer and Klaviyo. The seven new ones send from Personyze’s servers, so they work whether or not that tool’s script is on the page and whether or not the visitor is still on the site. Each has its own card under Settings → Integrations — connect once, use in any campaign. Events also carry the value of a match now, so Meta can build a value-based lookalike and Google can bid on value.
Every destination is outbound. Personyze sends; it does not read contacts back from Mailchimp, Brevo or ActiveCampaign.
And the report says which audience the test really won
The same audiences now read every A/B test audience by audience. A variant can win the site overall and lose the visitors who came from a paid ad, and the results say so in one line at the top of the test — with the confidence of that disagreement measured against the arm it disagrees with. The A/B testing page shows the report.
What to know before you switch it on
- Ad platform matching captures identifiers only on pages that carry the Personyze tag — every page for a customer who is already live.
- A Meta lookalike needs at least 100 people from one country in the source audience.
- Events arrive within about a minute on real-time campaigns; scheduled campaigns send on their own pass.
- The event name is on screen and must be typed into the ad platform exactly. It never changes for that audience.
- Audiences refresh daily; discovery mines weekly.
- Audience Discovery — the feature page, with the push explained.
- Integrations — every destination, and what each does.
- Book a demo — see it on your own account.
