The Best Software to Identify Anonymous Website Visitors
Most visitors leave without a name. This guide sorts the tools that tell you who they were — the company behind the visit, or the person — what each can honestly reveal, where it works, and how to reach the right person afterwards.
Website visitor identification comes in two kinds
Every tool in this guide answers one of two questions, and the answers are not the same size. Knowing which one you are buying saves most of the disappointment in this category.
Company-level identification
Company-level tools look up the visitor’s IP address in a database of business networks and return the company: its name, web address, industry, size, location and the pages it read. Leadfeeder, Snitcher, Albacross, Leadinfo, Lead Forensics, HubSpot, ZoomInfo and Demandbase all start here. Leadfeeder puts it plainly: it identifies “the company behind a visit, not the individual.” For how the lookup itself works, see using IP intelligence to unmask B2B visitors.
Person-level identification
Person-level tools go further and name the individual — name, job title, LinkedIn profile and, on some plans, a work email. RB2B, Vector and Leadpipe each say on their own sites that person-level identification covers US visitors; Warmly’s pages state no region and describe settings for regional privacy rules. Even in the US, these vendors describe a person-level match as a share of traffic, not all of it.
Can you reveal the email of a website visitor?
Sometimes the visitor’s own; more often the right person’s at their company. There are three honest routes, and most teams use more than one.
They tell you
A form, a demo request, or a click on a link in your own email. Most company-level tools here, and Personyze, then join that person to the pages they read before. It is the only route that is certain to be the visitor.
A person-level tool names them
For US traffic, RB2B, Warmly, Vector and Leadpipe can return a named visitor, with a work email on some plans. Outside the US, RB2B identifies companies only and Vector does not run at all.
You find the right person at the company
Once the company is known, a B2B contact database finds the people there by job title. Leadfeeder, Snitcher, Albacross and Lead Forensics sell contacts for the identified company. Personyze’s Company follow-up finds someone in the roles you choose with your own Apollo account, or Hunter when Apollo has nobody; AI writes them a short email from a page made for their company, and your rep approves each email before it goes. These are decision-makers at the company, not proof of who visited — Lead Forensics says so outright.
How to choose website visitor identification software
Compare tools on the questions below rather than on one match-rate claim; every vendor measures that its own way.
Company or person
Whether you need the organization that visited or the individual — and what you will do differently with each.
Where your traffic comes from
Person-level identification is US-only at the vendors here that state a region. For buyers in Europe or Asia, expect the company.
Whose email you get
The visitor’s own, once they identify themselves, or a decision-maker’s at their company from a contact database.
Privacy and consent
The lawful basis the vendor documents, where its data is hosted, and whether it asks for a consent banner.
Match rate on your traffic
Remote workers, mobile visits and small companies all change it. Test on your own traffic in a trial.
What happens next
A Slack alert, a CRM record, an ad audience, or a page that changes for that company. Identification alone changes nothing.
The best software to identify anonymous website visitors
Grouped by what they identify, and ordered within each group by fit for a mid-market B2B team selling in more than one country. Facts are from each vendor’s own pages in November 2026; prices change, so the tiers below are coarse.
Company-level identification
These name the company behind a visit, from its IP address.
Leadfeeder (formerly Dealfront)
Leadfeeder’s Web Visitors shows the companies reading your site and the pages they read, with B2B data hosted in the EU. Dealfront has renamed itself back to Leadfeeder — “same product, same team, new name.” Higher plans add verified contacts and retargeting of engaged companies on Google and LinkedIn ads.
Strengths
- A free-forever Lite plan to start
- Hosted in the EU
- Company lists for retargeting on Google and LinkedIn
- Verified emails and phones on higher plans
Limitations
- Company-level only: a person appears only once they identify themselves
- The free plan shows the last 100 companies a month, with 7 days of history
Snitcher
Built in the Netherlands, Snitcher turns anonymous IP addresses into named companies with industry, size and location, sends them to your CRM, and reveals verified contacts at a company when you click. Every plan includes unlimited team members and all integrations. Personyze reads the company it identifies through the Snitcher integration.
Strengths
- Built in Europe, GDPR-first
- Unlimited team members on every plan
- All integrations included, from HubSpot to Salesforce
- Contact reveal for decision-makers
Limitations
- Price rises with the number of companies identified each month
- From the IP, company-level only: it “focuses on company-level intelligence”
Albacross
A Swedish platform that names the companies on your site with the pages they read, claims leading identification rates in the EU, and syncs hot accounts to your CRM, Slack, Teams and ad audiences. Its Engage module finds decision-makers at each identified account, paid for in credits.
Strengths
- A focus on identification in the EU
- 30+ integrations, including HubSpot, Pipedrive and Slack
- Accounts synced to ad audiences
- 14-day free trial, no card
Limitations
- No free plan
- Contact data is capped by each plan’s credits
Leadinfo (now including LeadRebel)
Leadinfo tells you which company visited and recommends the best contacts to reach there from its own database, with its servers in Ireland. It took over the Swiss company LeadRebel in 2025, and leadrebel.io now leads to Leadinfo. Personyze has integrations for both: Leadinfo and LeadRebel.
Strengths
- 14-day free trial, no payment details
- Servers in Ireland; ISO 27001 certified
- Suggested contacts at each identified company
Limitations
- CRM integrations come with higher plans: HubSpot from Scale, Salesforce from Pro
- The Starter plan covers up to 100 identified companies a month
Lead Forensics
Lead Forensics identifies businesses — explicitly not individuals — from its own database of B2B IP addresses, built in-house, and tells you which office a visit came from. It adds contact details for decision-makers from approved third-party suppliers, and says plainly that these are not the people who visited.
Strengths
- An owned, in-house B2B IP database
- Which office the visit came from
- 60+ integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics
- Clear about what it does not identify
Limitations
- No published pricing; the cost follows your traffic
- A one-week trial, set up through sales
HubSpot Buyer Intent (formerly Clearbit Reveal)
Clearbit joined HubSpot, and its IP intelligence now sits inside the HubSpot CRM as Buyer Intent: it connects anonymous visitors to known companies and stores their website activity in a table, next to the records your team already uses. Personyze also has a Clearbit integration.
Strengths
- Native in the HubSpot CRM
- Included from the Starter tier
- A limited overview on the free CRM
Limitations
- HubSpot only, with the HubSpot tracking code on your site
- Adding and tracking companies uses HubSpot Credits
ZoomInfo WebSights
WebSights uncovers the companies exploring your site and the decision-makers there, from ZoomInfo’s company and contact database; ZoomInfo also markets it as person-level visitor intelligence. It is sold within ZoomInfo packages priced on licenses and credits. Personyze has a ZoomInfo integration.
Strengths
- A very large B2B company and contact database
- Visiting companies linked to their decision-makers
- A 7-day free trial
Limitations
- No published price; sold in bundles
- Usage is counted in credits
Demandbase Account Identification
Demandbase unmasks the companies that visit your site as part of its account-based go-to-market platform for B2B enterprises, with a contacts database beside it. Personyze has a Demandbase integration.
Strengths
- Built for enterprise account-based programs
- One platform for sales and marketing teams
- A contacts database beside account identification
Limitations
- Not sold as a standalone visitor-ID tool
- Custom pricing: a platform fee plus a fee per user
Person-level identification
These name the individual visitor — for US traffic, by the vendors’ own account.
RB2B
RB2B returns the names, LinkedIn profiles and business emails of people on your site and pushes them to Slack, Teams or your CRM. Its person-level identification is US-only, by its own description; outside the US it identifies companies, which it says needs consent capture under GDPR.
Strengths
- A forever-free plan with company-level ID
- Pushes to Slack, Teams, your CRM and Clay
- Set up in minutes
Limitations
- Person-level identification is US-only
- Business emails start on the Pro plan
Warmly
Warmly identifies individual contacts — name, work email, job title and LinkedIn — while they are still on your site, and engages them with AI chat, email sequences and rep routing. It says identification can be configured for regional privacy rules, including GDPR and CCPA.
Strengths
- A free plan for de-anonymizing visitors
- Chat, email sequences and rep routing built in
- Retargeting by email, LinkedIn and ads
Limitations
- Paid plans are annual and priced for larger teams
- It calls person-level identification “more selective” than company-level
Vector
Vector resolves anonymous traffic to the company and the person — name, role, work email — where a consented match exists, and turns those signals into contact-level audiences synced to ad platforms. It is geofenced to operate only in the United States, and says it collects no non-US data.
Strengths
- Contact-level audiences for LinkedIn, Meta and other ad platforms
- Identification respects your consent banner
- Unlimited seats
Limitations
- Operates only in the United States
- An annual contract; no free plan shown
Leadpipe
Leadpipe identifies matched US visitors while they browse, with available names, emails and company context, and hands the data to your systems by REST API, SDK or MCP, with a white-label option for agencies. Its own guidance makes company-level the default for EU and UK traffic, with person-level only on affirmative consent.
Strengths
- API, SDK and MCP access to the data
- A white-label option for agencies
- A 7-day trial, no card
Limitations
- Person-level identification is described for the US
- Not every visit becomes a named person, by its own account
Where Personyze fits: acting on the identification
Personyze is not an identification provider, which is why it is not ranked above. It works with the company-identification tool you choose and does what comes next: it changes your site for that company, and it writes to the right person there — with your rep approving every email.
- 1Your identification toolA visitAlbacross, Leadfeeder, Snitcher, ZoomInfo or Demandbase names the company
- 2PersonyzeDoes it fit?Industry, size, country and the pages it read. Your own domains, customers and competitors are never followed up

- 4PersonyzeTheir pageThree ideas for their own site, written for their role, under a headline naming the company
- 5AIThe emailOne short email per company and role, from that page, what you sell and your rep’s own words
- 6Your repApproves each oneApprove & send, Edit, Skip, or Copy to send it from their own mailbox. It goes from the rep, in the recipient’s working hours
On your site
Account-based personalization turns the company your provider names into something a campaign can target, so each industry, size or named account sees its own headline, proof and next step. Personyze has integrations for Snitcher, Leadinfo, LeadRebel, Demandbase, ZoomInfo, Clearbit and 6sense, among others.
After the visit
With Company follow-up, once a company fits, Personyze finds someone in the roles you choose with your own Apollo account, or Hunter when Apollo has nobody, and makes them a page of three ideas for their own site. AI writes one short email per company and role from that page, and your rep approves each email — Approve & send, Edit, Skip, or Copy to send it from their own mailbox. What the rep approves is what is sent: from the rep, Tuesday to Thursday, 9 to 11 in the recipient’s own time. The rep’s alert comes on Slack and by email, with the company, why it fits, the person and a LinkedIn note of up to 300 characters to copy. Replies go to the rep, and into the panel’s Inbox.
What it never does
Reveal your visitor’s own email: it writes to someone in the roles you choose, at an address Apollo or Hunter verified at the company’s own domain. The email never says they visited your site, LinkedIn is never automated, and no email goes without your rep’s approval. It starts in demo mode — the person found, the page made, the email written and your rep told, with nothing emailed — and a company is contacted at most once in 30 days, at most 20 a day. Afterwards you see what happened per company: sent, opened, opened their page, replied or bounced.
