Oracle Eloqua integration

Eloqua knows the contact. Now the website does too.

When a visitor Personyze can identify by email arrives, their Eloqua contact comes with them — company, title, industry, lead score and any custom field you choose — so the page can speak to the person, not the average visitor. And it works the other way: leads from Personyze forms and whole audiences go back into Eloqua.

Why it matters

Your best B2B data lives in Eloqua. Your website has never seen it.

Eloqua holds what your team knows about each contact: the company, the job title, the industry, the score that says how close they are to buying. Until now that knowledge shaped emails and reports, while the website showed every one of those contacts the same homepage.

Connected to Personyze, the contact’s Eloqua fields become visitor attributes the moment Personyze knows who is visiting. A high-scoring contact from a bank gets the banking case study and a call-to-action for sales; a new lead gets the guide. The leads and audiences Personyze collects flow back, so Eloqua stays the system your campaigns run from.

What you can do

What Eloqua + Personyze unlocks

01

Personalize with contact fields

Email, name, company, title, country, city, industry — or any custom field. Target campaigns on them, see them on the visitor profile, and print them in content: “Welcome back, Dana from Northwind”.

02

Act on the lead score

Map your lead score or rating field and use it like any other rule: sales-ready contacts see a meeting booker, early-stage ones see education.

03

Form leads straight into Eloqua

A Personyze Lead Capture Form creates the Eloqua contact, or updates it by email, fills name, company, title, phone and country plus any field named after an Eloqua field, and can add it to a shared list.

04

Audiences into shared lists

Send a Personyze user list to an Eloqua shared list. Contacts Eloqua does not have yet are created; lists over 50 people go through Eloqua’s Bulk API, up to 100,000 people per send.

How it works

How it works

Create an Eloqua API userIn Eloqua, go to Settings → Users and create a user just for Personyze, for example personyze.api. Add it to the API Users security group, which carries the Consume API permission, and to Advanced Users - Marketing.
ConnectIn Personyze, open Settings → Integrations → Oracle Eloqua and enter your Eloqua company name, the user name and the password. Personyze checks them with Eloqua before saving, and never shows the password again.
Choose the fieldsUnder Property mapping, pick the Eloqua fields to put on your visitors. Recommended setup maps email, name, company, title, country and city, plus industry and lead score when your Eloqua has them.
Send leads back (optional)In a Lead Capture Form, open the Where the data goes step and add Oracle Eloqua. Enter a shared list’s ID to add each lead to that list too.
Send audiences (optional)In the same Eloqua drawer, open Send a user list to Eloqua, pick a Personyze user list and an Eloqua shared list, and send it.

FAQ

Common questions

How does Personyze match a visitor to an Eloqua contact?
By email address — from a form the visitor filled in, a login, or an email parameter in a link. If Personyze does not know the email yet, it can still match the visitor when your site uses Eloqua’s first-party tracking cookie and Eloqua has already linked that browser to a contact, for example after an Eloqua email click.
Will it use up our Eloqua API allowance?
No. Personyze asks Eloqua about a visitor at most once per visit, plus once more if their email changes during the visit — never on every page view.
What does Personyze write into Eloqua?
Two things, both ones you switch on: contacts from Personyze Lead Capture Forms (created or updated by email, optionally added to a shared list), and the people in user lists you send to an Eloqua shared list.
Do we need a dedicated Eloqua user?
We recommend one. A user made for Personyze keeps working when someone leaves or changes their password. It needs the Consume API permission and read and write access to contacts and shared lists.
What happens if the password changes?
Personyze stops using it at once, so the Eloqua user is not locked out, and the Eloqua drawer says so. Enter the new password to reconnect.
How fast do changes in Eloqua show on the site?
On the visitor’s next visit. Sending a user list adds people to the Eloqua list but does not remove anyone; to keep a list in step, clear it in Eloqua before you send again.

Your Eloqua contacts are already visiting. Show them a page made for them.

Create an Eloqua API user, connect it in Personyze, choose your fields — then target your best contacts on their next visit. Or book a demo and we will show it on your site.
