Ask buyers who it is for. Then use what they said.

A mattress store asks two one-tap questions on its thank-you page — who will sleep on it, and is it replacing one — and a 30-night review by email. The answers shape the buyer’s next visit, reach customer care when a score is low, and become proof on the product page for the next shopper. Switch the visitor below to see each moment.

How it works

One survey after the order, one after 30 nights, and every answer put to work.

01

Ask while the order is fresh

Two one-tap questions on the thank-you page: who will sleep on it, and what it replaces. Follow-ups only for replacements.

02

Use the answer on the next visit

Every answer is a field on the profile, so the next visit leads with the guide and the pillows that fit the reason they gave.

03

Ask again after 30 nights

A star rating by email opens the survey page; a low score gets one follow-up and reaches customer care, and every buyer is asked for a review.

Under the hood

How Personyze turns a post-purchase survey into research, service and proof.

01

Two taps on the thank-you page

The survey is placed on the order confirmation page and shown once per customer. Both questions are one tap, and nothing asks for an email the store already has.

02

Follow-ups only for the people they are for

“How old was it?” and “Why now?” are set to ask only when the answer to “Is it replacing a mattress?” was yes. A first-time buyer answers two questions and is done.

03

The next visit follows the answers

Each answer is saved as a field on the profile. Before delivery, the home page leads with the first-weeks guide for the reason given, the recommendations are filtered to pillows for back sleepers, and mattress offers are hidden from someone who has just bought one.

04

A review 30 nights in, asked of everyone

An email to customers whose order is 30 days old carries a star rating; each star opens the survey on a page of its own with that rating filled in. A low “sleeping cool” score asks one follow-up and is sent to customer care in Slack as it arrives. Every buyer then sees the same review form.

05

Totals become proof for the next shopper

On the product page, Survey Results shows one line and four bars built from buyers’ answers: totals only, never a person’s answer, and nothing until the minimum number of answers is reached. A visitor from a search ad about back pain sees the reasons first.

06

Market research, without a research panel

The survey report splits every question by traffic source, device, page and country, keeps the written answers with a summary of them, and exports to CSV — who buys, for whom, and what they are replacing.

Questions

Questions about this example

What should a post-purchase survey ask?

One or two questions that take a tap and that the store can act on: who the product is for, and whether it replaces something. Follow-up questions such as how old the old one was and why it was replaced are set to appear only for buyers who said they are replacing one.

How do the answers change what the buyer sees later?

Each answer is saved as a field on the visitor's profile. Any campaign can target that field, so the next visit can lead with the guide for the reason they gave and filter recommendations to products that fit it, while offers for what they just bought are hidden.

Can survey answers be shown to other shoppers?

Only as totals. Survey Results shows bars, percentages or one line for the questions you choose, never an individual answer or a written answer, and nothing at all until the minimum number of answers is reached.
