In Shopify’s Dev Dashboard, create an app with read scopes for products, inventory, orders and customers, install it on your store, and choose Custom distribution — Shopify releases customer names and emails only then. Common questions

Do I need a developer to add Personyze to my Shopify store?
No. Installation is a single snippet in your theme (or via Google Tag Manager), and every campaign after that is built in a visual, no-code editor. Most stores are live with their first campaign the same day.
Does it work with Shopify Plus and headless storefronts?
Yes. Personyze is tag-based, so it works on standard Shopify, Shopify Plus, and custom or headless front ends (React, Next.js, Hydrogen, and others) that allow custom JavaScript.
Will it slow down my store?
Personyze loads asynchronously and is built to minimize impact on page speed and Core Web Vitals, so personalization runs without hurting performance or SEO.
Can recommendations be personalized to each shopper?
Yes. Recommendations are driven by algorithms like bought-together and also-viewed, weighted by each shopper's individual behavior — not the same static block for everyone.
Do I need the App Store app to sync products and orders?
No. Connect by API with an app you create in Shopify’s Dev Dashboard: Personyze then syncs products every 6 hours, orders every 15 minutes and customers every hour. Orders go back 60 days by default, or a year with Shopify’s read_all_orders scope. The storefront still needs the Personyze tag, from the App Store app or your tracking code.
