How it works

Built with Personyze — in three steps.

01

Resolve

Personyze unifies the visitor: on-site behavior, CRM record, product usage, and — through an ABM integration — the company behind the visit.

02

Decide

Audiences map each visitor to a lifecycle stage — unknown, target account, trial, or customer — and choose the headline, proof, and call to action that fits.

03

Render

The hero, proof points, plan cards, and CTA update live — server-side or in the browser — with no page reload and no developer.

Under the hood

How Personyze personalizes this SaaS site.

Every state in the demo is driven by a real Personyze capability and a different data source. Here is the signal behind each one, the rule that fires it, and what changes on the page.

01

Anonymous Visitor (No Company, No History)

Most B2B traffic arrives unidentified, and the temptation is to show nothing until a form is filled. Personyze instead works from what is available in the session itself — referrer, campaign parameters, geography from IP, device, and the pages viewed so far. The homepage stays broad but not generic: the hero leads with the strongest general proposition, and the primary call to action is the low-commitment one, because asking an unknown visitor to book a demo converts far worse than asking them to start free. Learn about Website Personalization

  • Signals: referrer and UTM, IP geolocation, device, entry page, in-session page views.
  • No cookie needed: first-session personalization works before any identifier exists.
  • What changes: nothing yet — this is the control the other three states are measured against in an A/B test.
02

Target Account (Firmographics via ABM Integration)

When a visitor arrives from a company you care about, the whole page should speak that company’s language. Personyze resolves the organisation behind the visit through an ABM integration — Clearbit, 6sense, Albacross, Leadfeeder, ZoomInfo or similar — which returns the company name, industry, size, and revenue band. Those firmographics land on the visitor profile as attributes, so they can be targeted exactly like any other data. Personyze does not identify companies itself; it consumes and acts on the data the integration provides. See Account-Based Marketing

  • Rule: industry equals manufacturing and employee count above 500 → show the account experience.
  • Hero: rewritten to name the industry, with the company name inserted as a dynamic content tag.
  • Proof: the case study, logos, and integrations swap to the ones that matter to that vertical.
  • CTA: switches from “Start free” to “Book a demo”, because enterprise accounts convert through sales, not self-serve.
03

Trial in Progress (Product Usage + CRM)

A trial user is not a prospect and not yet a customer, and showing them the acquisition homepage wastes the most valuable window in the lifecycle. Here the profile carries lifecycle stage, trial start date, seats activated, and events sent, synced from the CRM and the product itself. Five days out from expiry, the page stops selling the product and starts protecting what the team has already built in it — the dashboards, alerts, and history they would lose.

  • Rule: lifecycle equals trial and days remaining is five or fewer → show the conversion path.
  • Urgency without invention: the countdown reflects the real trial end date on the profile, not a timer that resets.
  • Progress as persuasion: a live meter shows how much of the trial allowance has been used, which is the same goal-gradient mechanic that lifts ecommerce order value.
  • What changes: hero, a plan card sized to their actual seat count, and a CTA pointing at checkout rather than signup.
04

Existing Customer (Expansion and Renewal)

Existing customers are the segment most often ignored by a marketing site, and the one where personalization is least risky — you already know the plan, the usage, and the renewal date. At 82% of a monthly event quota, the relevant message is not a feature tour but a limit that is about to bite. Personyze reads plan, quota consumption, and renewal date from the CRM integration and turns the homepage into an account page.

  • Rule: plan equals growth and quota usage above 80% → show the expansion offer.
  • Suppression: acquisition banners, trial prompts, and “Start free” are hidden — nothing is more corrosive than being sold something you already own.
  • Routing: the CTA goes to the plan comparison or to their account manager, depending on contract value.
05

What Ties the Four States Together

All four states are the same page. What changes is the unified visitor profile behind it — in-session behavior for the anonymous visitor, firmographics from an ABM integration for the target account, product usage and CRM fields for the trial and the customer. Because those attributes live on one profile rather than in four disconnected tools, a single set of audiences can drive the website, the emails, and the in-app messages without re-implementing the logic in each.

The discipline that matters in B2B is suppression as much as targeting: a customer should never see a trial prompt, a target account should never be pushed into self-serve checkout, and an anonymous visitor should not be shown a renewal notice. Each audience therefore carries exclusions, and every variant runs against a holdout so the lift is measured rather than assumed.

Technical Summary:
This demo runs on real-time audience resolution. Four audiences — anonymous, target account, trial, and customer — are built from session signals, ABM firmographics supplied by an integration, product usage, and CRM fields synced to the visitor profile. Dynamic content tags insert the company name and usage figures; the hero, proof tiles, meter, and CTA are swapped per audience, and each variant is measured against a holdout. Rendering works client-side through the tag or server-side through the API for cached and logged-in pages. SaaS personalization · B2B website personalization
