How it works

Built with Personyze — in three steps.

01

Detect

Personyze identifies each shopper by CRM profile, past behavior, and browsing signals in real time.

02

Decide

Rules and the recommendation engine pick the right categories, products, and offers for that shopper.

03

Render

The homepage, offers, and blog update live — no page reload, no developer.

Under the hood

How Personyze personalizes this sportswear store.

Every element in the demo is driven by a real Personyze capability. Here’s what powers each part.

01

First-Time Visitor (Anonymous)

When a new user lands on the site, we lack specific history. To maximize relevance, the personalization engine defaults to a "Best Sellers" strategy combined with IP Geolocation. The hero speaks to every kind of athlete, the grid mixes trending running, training and strength gear, and new customers get 15% off their first order. Learn about Website Personalization

02

CRM Targeting (Dedicated Runner)

For the logged-in user or recognized cookie, the system pulls data from the CRM. We know this user has placed four running-gear orders, most recently a pair of road running shoes. Explore Recommendation Engine

  • Hero Banner: Changes to "Welcome back, Runner" with a prompt to reorder essentials.
  • Product Grid: Shows running picks such as a moisture-wicking performance tee and a GPS running watch.
  • Offer: 20% off their next shoe upgrade.
03

Behavioral Retargeting (Strength Athlete)

This visitor hasn't bought anything yet, but their Browsing History shows they viewed dumbbells and leggings more than 3 times. This triggers a behavioral rule. See Behavioral Targeting

  • Action: The homepage is dynamically rebuilt for the weight room — dumbbells, training leggings and a training jacket.
  • Goal: Turn repeat browsing into a first order, with a dumbbells + apparel bundle at 25% off.
04

Content Personalization

Personalization isn't just for products. To build authority and trust, we dynamically inject relevant blog posts. New visitors see shoe, strength and recovery basics, the runner sees half-marathon training and fueling guides, and the strength athlete sees programming, home-gym and mobility articles. This keeps users engaged longer.

Technical Summary:
This demo utilizes real-time user segmentation. The content (hero images, product grids, and coupon codes) is swapped dynamically using the Personyze WYSIWYG Page Editor, Promotion Manager, and Recommendation Widgets, based on the detected "Persona ID". In a live environment, this is handled by Personyze's server-side or client-side injection logic.

Questions

Questions about this example

How does Personyze personalize a sportswear store?

It groups shoppers by sport and behavior — for example repeat running-gear buyers from CRM order data and visitors who keep browsing strength equipment — and shows each group its own hero, product picks, offer and articles.

What triggers the strength-athlete experience in this example?

A behavioral rule: viewing dumbbells and leggings more than 3 times rebuilds the homepage around weight-room gear and adds a bundle offer.

Do I need a developer to build this?

No. Personyze's rules, recommendation widgets and offers are set up in its no-code editor once the tracking code is on the site.
