Will it flood the channel?
Only if you ask it to. Notifications are attached to specific campaigns or alert rules, and alert rules are deliberately measured on complete days so a rule never fires on a half-written number.
Can different alerts go to different channels?
Yes — the destination is part of the notification, so operational alerts and commercial ones do not have to share a room.
What else can be notified?
The same events can go by email, to a webhook of your own, or into any analytics destination. Slack is one delivery option among several.
