How it works

Built with Personyze — in three steps.

01

Detect

Personyze identifies each shopper by CRM profile, past behavior, and browsing signals in real time.

02

Decide

Rules and the recommendation engine pick the right categories, products, and offers for that shopper.

03

Render

The homepage, offers, and blog update live — no page reload, no developer.

Under the hood

How Personyze personalizes this WordPress site.

Every element in the demo is driven by a real Personyze capability. Here’s what powers each part.

01

New Reader (WordPress + Personyze)

When a new user lands on the site, we lack specific history. To maximize relevance, the personalization engine defaults to a "Best Sellers" strategy combined with IP Geolocation. The Hero banner displays a mix of pets (Cat & Dog) to appeal to the widest audience, and the product grid shows high-margin items like Aquariums and Starter Kits. Learn about Website Personalization

02

Newsletter CRM (Subscribed Reader)

For a recognized reader, Personyze reorders the WordPress homepage by reading history and suppresses the newsletter popup for people who already subscribed. And when a visitor moves to leave, an exit-intent popup makes one last newsletter-subscribe invitation. Explore Recommendation Engine

  • Hero Banner: Changes to a happy dog with a prompt to "Reorder".
  • Product Grid: Filters out cat/fish products and shows durable chew toys and dog beds.
  • Offer: A "BOGO" deal specifically for dog treats.
03

Behavioral Retargeting (Cat Interest)

This visitor hasn't bought anything yet, but their Browsing History shows they viewed the "Cat Tree" category 3 times in the last session. This triggers a behavioral rule. See Behavioral Targeting

  • Action: The homepage is dynamically rebuilt to focus on Cat supplies.
  • Goal: Reduce bounce rate by showing the user exactly what they were looking for previously (Cat Trees and Scratchers).
04

Content Personalization

Personalization isn't just for products. To build authority and trust, we dynamically inject relevant blog posts. The "Dog Owner" sees articles about hiking trails and dental health, while the "Cat Lover" sees guides on vertical space and enrichment. This keeps users engaged longer.

Technical Summary:
This demo utilizes real-time user segmentation. The content (hero images, product grids, and coupon codes) is swapped dynamically using the Personyze WYSIWYG Page Editor, Promotion Manager, and Recommendation Widgets, based on the detected "Persona ID". In a live environment, this is handled by Personyze's server-side or client-side injection logic.
